They are pretty much the first to sell it, but still... Jesus, no one has even seen a good picture of it yet. Only the dark crappy picture where you can only see the feedneck. Even Dye hasn't released any information besides the one picture.

how so? dye is going for the best of the best high end market, which they always have. this is the only logical move for dye to make.

I still say Dye needs to put an LCD on one of their guns.
Until then, I prefer Timmys for ease of use/functionality.

well lets see what their big options were:
1) (what they did do) continue to be in the lime light with their dm5, dm4 and the proto. NOT compete with the ion and the wrath (keeping them the strickly high-end company that they worked so hard for) ON TOP of their glory, compete with the G7, which a total of 4 people are going to buy anyway
2) Make an Ion- Competetor, ruin their rep as a high end company that pours perfection, the best of the best into their guns (cant happen with a $300 marker)
3) Continue to produce the great products that they already have, and perhaps work on a better paintball, or something else
Point being, they spent money on something that they absolutly don't need, they already have their spot up high, they didn't need to try harder, yet.
